Its really hard to spot but there are 2 Daubenton Bats right of top center in the above photo.
Check out the 2 videos, best I could do sorry but the bat detector caught some great sounds.
Paul (warden) from Moore Nature Reserve kindly invited a few people down for a bit of a Bat Hunt. The evening wasn't planned, Paul had been out setting up a Newt Survey so was around the reserve at dusk. Also due to the weather conditions being perfect and the amount of flying insects around the chance couldnt be passed by.
As it turned out this evening was to be one of the very best I've ever experienced at the reserve. Not only did we have a huge amount of Bats out above our heads but we also had a nice visit by a fox to the hide we sat in and to top it all we had a great laugh.
Spotted on the evening - Noctules, Pipistelles & Daubentons and lets not forget the fox!
